Aveda products are a long time love of mine! I am a big fan of their hair products, makeup, lotions, candles, and now their tea! My sweet friends took me to get a pedicure when I was 8 months preggers at an Aveda salon. While waiting for our pedicures, they served us this delicious tea. I could not quite tell what was all in the tea---but I knew I loved it!
The tea is made with licorice root, peppermint leaf, sweet fennel, and basil. Now, some of you are thinking....GROSS! But...you would be surprised at how yummy this blend of ingredients taste together! You can't taste the licorice at all---and I hate, hate, hate licorice---so you really can't taste it, trust me. The mint flavor hits the back of your throat---a little surprise after you swallow. Another plus for some folks is: it is organic. And...the best thing about this tea---it is caffeine-free! So, you can enjoy a cup in the evening without worrying about being up all night! One last plus to share...there have been a couple of times this tea has even helped to settle my tummy, as well as my nerves (ha!).So...if you are looking for a calming nighttime treat, try some comfort tea by Aveda.
